Tax 2.0 is an interactive forum where the tax industry’s most innovative thinkers have come together to contribute insight and perspective to build a shared vision of the future: where we are headed as an industry, and what it will take to get there.

Looking ahead to 2009 and beyond, it is clear that the tax industry faces a number of complex challenges:

  • A shrinking pool of top talent. Finding new ways to effectively recruit, retain, and utilize tax personnel.
  • The migration from U.S. GAAP to IFRS. Identifying short and long-term implications to reduce disruption and ensure proper compliance.
  • Global tax management. Discussing best practices to gain transparency and gather data across geographic boundaries in order to achieve operational efficiency.
  • The growing convergence of finance and tax. Viewing tax as an enterprise process and natural extension of global finance operations to improve integration and make better business decisions.
  • The shifting technology landscape. Taking a closer look at how tax technology will evolve as enterprise applications migrate to new platforms and methods of sharing data.

The mission of Tax 2.0 is to gather the perspectives of senior tax professionals from corporations, advisors, and technology providers. As well as share the latest research, intelligence, and news from across the industry. Through dialogue and peer-to-peer networking, we hope to drive the development of innovative strategies that allow the tax function to contribute in greater ways to optimum business performance.

To foster ongoing discussion, we encourage all participants to post questions, ideas and opinions, for feedback and comment among all members of the tax community. As well as suggest topics and submit relevant research studies and white papers.
